So, as I have told you before, I know 13 pregnant women that are due between now and the end of February. An extended relative (my sisters siter-in-law, I don't know what that would make her to me) was due last Saturday, and my cousins wife is due today. I say WAS because she. still. hasn't. had. the. baby. Her water broke on Friday morning.I saw them when I was at work this weekend, poor girl.
Having babies actually scares me. I know that I work with children and I love children and I am good with them, but they all belong to other people. I think that it is better to become an Auntie first, because then you can practise. Then I could practise all I want, like I do with other things (like running, pervs.)
People always ask my, and assume, that my job at the Hospital is boring and/or super easy. Umm, no, it's very hard, and it's not for everyone. Last night, security was there all night, and the cops were there about 3 times, all in 12 hrs. I usually read a book during a 12 hr shift, I did during every shift I worked in the summer. On a super busy night (Friday) I only read the last 4 chapters of Peaceful Warrior
and last night I read all about Johnny Cash
They are both super good books, I highly recommend them. There is SO much more in Cash than Walk The Line could have ever touched on.
Well, I'm off to the gym. Have a great weekend!

It sounds like you have two tough jobs!
I can only speak as a father, and not a mother, but having children is really rewarding. That sounds like a cliché, but most clichés do begin with truth. Small babies can be very stressful to raise, as you tend not to sleep as much as you need to. Older children (8 to 12 years old -- the ages of my two girls), tend to be stressful to raise, because you always want to make the right decision, even if it is unpopular.
Raising teens is probably REALLY stressful, but I am not going to think about that until it hits me.
All that being said, having children is really wonderful. Worth every stress.
I am the one who received your Irish Plantation Orchestra mix, and I thank you for it!
Read other bits of my Route 1 blog as well. You might be mildly amused. Take care, and good luck fending off the migraines.
