This week has been a pretty cold one in Saskatoon. Sunday night, it snowed and I thought that for sure we would be gettting the 2008 version of the Blizzard of 2007. I didn't go out on Monday, becasue it was -50. Tuesday and Wednesday we had about 60 students show up. It doesn't make sense that there needs to be blowing snow, but not cold temperatures, for the school board to close schools.
On the upside, I was doing research with some of my students today Antarctica, and the it in between -125 and -250 there.
Now I don't feel so bad.

Um....the coldest temperature ever recorded in the antarctic was -89 Celcius, or -129F (which I think is what you were trying to say!)
I also wrote a post about the latest prairie days here http://tinyurl.com/3yu2fo
MINUS 50?!?!
Oh Gee. I was complaining about *OUR* weather. Poor Saskatoon.
Minus 50?
I think I am going to go make some cocoa. I am cold just thinking about that temperature.
